Australian writer Krystal Sutherland defied her Jehovah's Witness parents when she was ten years old and stole a copy of Harry Potter from her library after being forbidden from reading it, sparking her love of literature.

As a grown up, Sutherland went on to live in Sydney where she edited her student magazine Hijacked, and later Amsterdam, where she worked as a foreign correspondent. Now she’s taken her love of literature to the next level, releasing her debut novel, a YA tale called Our Chemical Hearts. It tells the story of a hopeless romantic called Henry who falls unexpectedly in love with Grace in a journey of bittersweet discovery.
